Omar has spent over a decade working across the financial services sector in a career spanning financial engineering and business operations at companies including PIMCO, Interactive Data (subsequently acquired by ICE Data Services), and Bloomberg. He possesses a broad spectrum of entrepreneurial, technological, and commercial experience acquired through his involvement in operating and investing in several start-ups. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Management from the University of Manchester, a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF), and is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at London Business School.
Martin Brown has extensive experience in the successful transformation and growth of businesses in software and IT infrastructure ranging from $5m to $250m in turnover. Martin has held senior leadership positions at ChangeBase, Symantec and Sun Microsystems and has experience as a chairman and non-executive in the early stage software arena.
Ben is the co-founder of Securys. As Principal, he leads client engagements across the UK and internationally across a number of sectors. He was formerly founder and CEO of Managed Networks, a leading UK managed services provider. He exited that business in 2018 in a trade sale. Ben has also held a number of non-executive roles, including serving on the boards of TechUk and the BCS. Ben is a CISSP-ISSMP, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, FIP and CIPP/M, IAPP Fellow in International Privacy, BCS Fellow and a Chartered IT Professional.
James is a portfolio CFO specialising in high growth SaaS businesses from Seed to Exit. Since commencing his business 10 years ago, James has helped lead multiple companies navigate the challenges of building businesses that are equally attractive to investors as they are to potential buyers. Whilst he majors on fund raising and all things finance, he typically takes a leading role in commercial strategy, HR and legal. Prior to this James garnered his experience from executive roles with the Huntsworth Group (Global CFO), The Interpublic Group (COO Asia Pacific and Africa) and PwC Corporate Finance over an international career spanning the US, Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe.
Shailesh has over thirty years’ experience in Global Financial Services, recently retiring as Chief Risk Officer, Wealth Management at UBS. Shailesh is a business focused Risk Executive with a proven track record in effectively assessing risk-return opportunities and delivering bottom line growth. Risk Expertise, including broad regulatory understanding and engagement, coupled with business experience enabling effective partnerships with business leaders and proven ability to build consensus across multiple disciplines. Success in establishing de novo operations as well as in turnaround situations, organizational transformations and in establishing new holistic risk approach and frameworks. Prior experience including UBS, JP Morgan, General Electric and State Street Corporation in London, New York and Zurich. Shailesh holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematical Physics from University of Liverpool and a PH.D. Degree in Theoretical Physics from University of Leeds.
An entrepreneur in technology & financial markets, prior to founding ipushpull Dan built the Eccoware electronic trading software business delivering the first off-the-shelf arbitrage platform for electronic markets. Dan also runs a derivatives trading company and advises a number of startups. Dan holds a Masters Degree in Operational Research and Business Management from Lancaster University Business School and the University of Rome, and an Honours degree in Electronic Engineering from UCL.
